More about Irma

While living  in Mexico City one year, she gained experience practicing under the guidance of teachers in Spanish. Through various yoga retreats and workshops abroad, over the years she’s broadened her practice in an array of styles including classes with many master teachers including Tias Little, Sean Corn, Shiva Rea, Eoin Finn, Aadil Palkhivala, Wade Gotwals and more.

With Chicago as her home base, Moksha Yoga has been her primary practice studio.  Here, she has access to close tutelage by Lindsey Levin Labkon and apprenticed with Lance Hoagland and Lani Granum. Moksha Yoga is where she completed a Yoga Alliance 200 hour Teacher Training Certification with Daren Friesen (her teacher of 10+ years) the Classical, Astanga style of yoga. She continues to deepen her personal practice of self discovery with studies and a daily meditation practice, tuning up the vibrations of her own energy.

Her yoga teaching style is comprehensive, fluid, intuitive to participant needs and accompanied with energetic musical vibes.   She creates a safe, playful, exploratory environment for yoga participants of all levels and languages.
